Bay of Plenty Education Trust scholarship for former Tarawera College student Darryl-Lea Greenfield.

Darryl-Lea Greenfield has been awarded a Bay of Plenty Education Trust scholarship worth $5,750.

Darryl-Lea, who graduated from Tarawera College last year, is one of six Eastern Bay of Plenty students to receive the Trust’s Science, Technology and Emerging Industries Scholarship. Twelve Western Bay of Plenty Students are also scholarship winners.

The scholarships are for exemplary students planning to pursue tertiary education in the general fields of science, technology or emerging industries.

To date, 219 scholars have been awarded the scholarship, equating to a total gifting of $963,750.  Recipients are announced each year, with the scholarships made on the recommendation of school principals and/or Year 13 Deans. One scholarship is awarded to Tarawera College each year.
